I have been involved in Flower Essence Therapy since 1994 and began teaching and supervising Flower Essence Students in 1999. Since 2008 I have been South Island Co-ordinator for First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand Training. I now share this role with Dorine Hooykaas.  I see a wide range of clients from all walks of life and of all ages.  My specially is in new directions or changes in our lives, letting go of the old less useful patterns and embracing the new. I love introducing people to Flower Essences in such a way that they discover their own wonderful connection to the spirit of nature and in doing so they find their own beauty.

Bio:

I am honoured to be working co-operatively with the sacred plant medicine of Aotearoa. I find that the essences work at such a deep, profound and subtle level to facilitate holistic healing.

I trained in Art Therapy in Edinburgh ( 2000-2) specialising in medical art therapy and working with people affected by stroke, cancer, eating disorders, trauma and HIV/AIDS. I practised within the NHS, in Scotland, working with children impacted by trauma and in schools with Place2B, assisting young people to deal with issues of loss and bereavement. I also trained at the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine ( 2004-5) in Clinical Aromatherapy and Massage and set up practice in Edinburgh, also working with subtle aromatherapy and Reiki. I underwent full Usui Reiki Masters training in 2006, incorporating the Tibetan symbols. I have also trained with BAST ( British Academy of Sound Training) for one year, learning the use of  Himalayan bowls, voice toning and crystal bowls for harmonic healing. Samye Ling Tibetan Centre gave me invaluable teachings in meditation practice over 7 years.

First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand (R) are a pivotal part of my metaphysical tool kit. I am inspired to work with these essences to assist people in their own unique healing journey to realising their creative potential and illuminated health.
