Every year First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand® run a range of courses here in New Zealand and internationally via correspondence. If you feel like learning more about these magical essences, you can read more on the Course page on our website.

Use the Course Locator to select from our wide range of courses by Topic, Tutor and Location.

Correspondence courses are available to people for personal interest as is the Certificate programme; Flowers, Ferns, Trees, Seeds and Plants, providing flexible national and international access to the unique healing power of the First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand®. We provide our correspondence students with a high level of support throughout their study with us. We have an online student forum where you can mix with your peers and get support from others who have completed the Certificate and Diploma courses. You will also be allocated a tutor on your enrolment who is available to assist you with all course materials.

Certificate of New Zealand Native Flower Essence Therapy (CERT. NZNFE) requires you to successfully complete all ten modules of NZNFE 101-110. Each collection comprises of two modules and represents the first five Collections. Diploma of New Zealand Native Flower Essence Therapy (DIP. NZNFE) comprises of twelve modules NZNFE 101-112 and in addition to the Collections included in the Certificate are the Healers and Shamanic Collections.

The Medicine Woman Centre for Shamanic Studies™ provides revolutionary and dynamic online and in-class practical learning with support programs created specifically to meet the needs of the 21st century lightworker, rainbow warrior of peace, healer, shaman, medicine man and medicine woman. The courses are suitable for both men and women and for all those with an interest in personal and planetary transformation.

The New Zealand native flower cards draw on the timeless wisdom, beauty and power of New Zealand's unique native flora. Use the flower essence cards for daily enjoyment, inspiration and insight. They can be used in many different ways.

Shuffle, cut the deck and select card/s. Alternatively fan out the cards face down and select intuitively.

One Card Teacher Plant Ally Spread

Select one card and ask any of the following:

What is the card/flower essence of the day?
What is at the heart of this issue?
What quality do I or another person need?
What energy do I need to observe or embrace today?

Three Baskets of Knowledge - Past, Present and Future Spread

Draw one card for each position. Card One indicates the Past and the basis of what lies behind the current situation. Medicine Woman Shamanic Apprenticeship Course begins in February 2012

The Certificate in Shamanic Studies is a 12 month program that focuses on the necessary magical 12 Rites of Passage of the Healer. It forms the first part of the full Medicine Woman Apprenticeship©, a three year progamme. It embodies the highly respected tradition of the apprentice, a tradition that has been based on the acquisition of knowledge and the development of skill and ability through practical application under supervision.

During the course, each student is actively working under direction with metaphysical realities to assist the earth and to restore balance and harmony on the planet. The Medicine Woman Apprenticeship© is unique in that it provides the important facility of enabling the apprentice healer-shaman to immediately work magically to help facilitate planetary transformation at the same time as they work to enhance their shamanic capacity.

This process is facilitated through actively working with the teacher plants that hold the keys to opening the portals of power for the healer-shaman.

As part of our initiative to ensure the survival of traditional indigenous teachings and our commitment to awakening the sacred knowledge that lies deep within each and every one of us, Medicine Woman Centre for Shamanic Studies presented three special events with internationally acclaimed Aboriginal Elder Uncle Max Dulumunmun Harrison, wisdom keeper, author and educator.

Uncle Max Dulumunmun Harrison, an initiated Yuin man, grew up in Australia as part of a close Aboriginal community where some boys and young men were still selected for initiation into ancient ways.
Over the past three decades, he has taken thousands of people into the living heart of the land – teaching international students, architects, environmentalists, government ministers and advisers, medical practitioners and researchers his traditional culture. He has been consulted by governments on land rights issues and shared the podium at major events with spiritual leaders from around the world including the Dalai Lama.

Disaster Relief - Your Stories

We received an email from Manawa, a registered First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand practitioner and valued member of our network. She gave us some great feedback as to how she has been supporting her local community in various ways.

A good friend of hers has been offering support to a group of international refugees who had been displaced once again by the Christchurch Earthquake. Although their basic needs of food and housing are being met, they are attempting to deal with trauma, shock and nightmares as a result of the natural disaster. Manawa donated a box of Disaster Relief bottles on behalf of Franchelle at First Light and they have been well received.
In other instances donations have been facilitated by Manawa to a groups of people who have lost their homes and are living in barns in neighboring paddocks and in camping villages.

Thanks Manawa for your initiative and action! It is a privilege to have you as part of the First Light Family!

Disaster Relief Distribution Update

Our distribution network is now coming together for distributing the Disaster Relief-Quake Mix to people who were affected by the second Christchurch earthquake.

Through generous donations from the public and with our own contributions we have so far sent out enough Disaster Relief Essence to treat 4715 people.

It was only six months ago that Tony and I were in Christchurch and experienced the Sept 4th earthquake firsthand. Our hearts go out to all those people who have been affected by the recent natural disasters that have taken place in Japan.

Our very own registered First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand Teacher and Practitioner Minako Hama runs a busy clinic and school in Tokyo. She has joined our strong network of volunteers who are dedicated to supporting communities in need by helping to distribute bottles of Disaster Relief locally in Japan.
