How to use Native Flower Cards?

The New Zealand native flower cards draw on the timeless wisdom, beauty and power of New Zealand's unique native flora. Use the flower essence cards for daily enjoyment, inspiration and insight. They can be used in many different ways. 

Shuffle, cut the deck and select card/s. Alternatively fan out the cards face down and select intuitively.

One Card Teacher Plant Ally Spread

Select one card and ask any of the following:

• What is the card/flower essence of the day?
• What is at the heart of this issue?
• What quality do I or another person need?
• What energy do I need to observe or embrace today?
• What New Zealand native flower essence could assist me with this issue?

Three Baskets of Knowledge - Past, Present and Future Spread

Draw one card for each position. Card One indicates the Past and the basis of what lies behind the current situation. It indicates the gift/challenge that is associated with the Past that may need to be considered, addressed or integrated in order to move forward. Card Two indicates the requirement, gift or challenge associated with the Present or current situation. Card Three shows what will be revealed, develop or occur. The gift, challenge or outcome associated with the Future.

In Maori spirituality Te Wheke the octopus of infinite wisdom with its eight tentacles covers all directions and dimensions of total wellbeing. Draw eight cards and each card selected indicates a specific plant ally to assist and guide you.

Card One: Mana - Expressing your absolute uniqueness.
Card Two: Mauri - Nourishing your soul, essential self, psyche.
Card Three: Wairua - Valuing your spirit self.
Card Four: Tinana - Honouring your physical body.
Card Five: Hinengaro - Experiencing your whole mind. 
Card Six: Whanaungatanga - Celebrating your interrelatedness within the web of life. 
Card Seven: Whatumanawa - Cherishing your humanness, emotions, feelings and sentient self. 
Card Eight: Taonga - Treasuring your gifts from the ancestors, the gifts you can access at this time or in this situation.
